I would like to purchase a gift certificate for Americal Girl Doll Collection for my grandaughter. Please respond and let me know how I can go about this. Thank you. I tried to submit a previous email but I don’t know if it was accepted. So, I apologize if this is a duplicate message. Thank you. Marie Lovelett

I found an American Girl Doll at a garage sale. My daughter thinks that it is Marisol. I believe that she looks like Marisol, but the tag on her body says “2008″ and I understand that Marisol was retired at the end of 2005. The back of her neck says Pleasanton Co. 21L03. There is no X on her bottom. Can you tell me if this could be Marisol? Thank you! SD

Well, there is a just like you doll with the same face mold as Marisol and the same skin color and I also think she has the same eye color. Check if her hair is long probably upto her waist and wavy. It it is like this, it is Marisol. On the other hand, if her hair is about her shoulders and straight, then she is not Marisol, but the just like you doll. Hope this helps

I also have a doll that appears to be a Marisol doll, but has the 2008 tag on her body. I knew that Marisol was retired in 2005. I checked the hair as instructed above by user “jacsan” and it is all the way to her waist and is wavy. But how to explain the 2008 tag if it really is Marisol? Her complexion, face mold, eye color, etc is the same as Marisol.

My daughter has Marisol which we bought in 2005 along with all her “stuff”. We had been looking for Samantha on Ebay and was comparing tags to see if it was newer or older than 2000, and what the tags says. My daughter looked at her Marisol tag to compare, and believes it says 2008. I looked at it and it does look like it could be 2008. We bought Marisol from AG in Jan/Feb 2005 and are very confused by her tag. Perhaps is was a misprint? We’re not sure? We are investigating the issue, and found this.

Her neck stamp is 9 L03. She was definitely purchased from AG in 2005.

I know this is probably a silly question but, will you ever have Lindsey for sale?

@Trish We don’t currently have Lindsey, but may in the future.

My daughter wants Mia for her birthday, but she also wants Nicki. She said she doesn’t care which one she gets. I know this sounds silly, but does anyone recommend one of them over the other? I want to make the best choice.

Hello all, I recently acquired a new in box with tags Lindsey doll. I am not a collector, but from what I have seen online she is a very sought after doll. Does anyone have a clue as to what I should do with her?
